Review by Alisha – This canon sx30is camera takes great pictures and I love the zoom on it. I am able to get nice shots and videos even from far away. It has been great for the kids concerts too because you can adjust the viewer to still see what you are recording. This is if you have to hold the camera over your head to get around that tall person sitting in front of you! I am not at all tech savvy, but this camera is a point and shoot so it is easy to learn. It has great battery life. It has a rechargeable battery, my old camera ate through batteries like crazy but this one I haven’t had to charge since Christmas!

Review by Karen – I needed a new camera and did quite a bit of research to find out what is new in the camera world. It was a little challenging. But this Canon model kept coming up and the more I looked into it, the more I liked what I saw. When I actually got the canon sx30is camera in my hands, I was very pleased with the number of features it has and the quality of the pictures. I am not a big camera buff but I do like quality. This camera gives you just enough manual adjustment to make it fun and enough point and shoot simplicity to make it easy to operate. Some of the features are so fun to use because they are unusual (I haven’t had a new camera for about 6 years). I really love this camera. Hope you do too.

The 35x zoom is also a really great feature. I had read other reviews before I purchased this camera. I found that more professional photographers were not pleased with the speed of certain functions on the camera. For the rest of us, who cares-this camera is fun. Go for it. ps. don’t forget to buy a memory chip (the camera doesn’t have memory) and an extra battery is not a bad idea either. I found a good one on amazon.
